In my 20’s I recording & self released 2 CD’s with my band, largely of songs I had written. 🎸 In my 30’s I helped co-plant a church. We started from the ground up. And that church is still flourishing today. ⛪️ In my 40’s I’ve launched out into my own art business and I’m getting ready to self publish my third book this year. 🎨 If you know me, I hope you know I’m not saying this in a bragging manner. I’m sharing this because we all have opportunities to dream & pursue those dreams. What’s stopping you today? Usually we’re sacrificing our dreams, or sacrificing FOR our dreams. It takes being intentional and putting in the work. Pushing past fear. Figuring it out as you go. Surrounding yourself with those who have gone before you. It’s hard and takes its toll sometimes. My family has felt the sacrifice (of time, finances, etc). I’ve wrestled with depression on this path. And sometimes the day to day work in seeming obscurity and isolation can ring the bell of discouragement. But no one ever promised ease. And dreams take work. And time. 🕰 So dear friend, what are you waiting for? What’s standing in your way? Take the right next step where you are today. And maybe that means, this time you won’t try to stop that voice, but you’ll be open. You have today.
