Today was such a beautiful day, I had to spend a little bit of time outside. Sometimes I struggle with taking a break, as there’s always so much to do. But today I heeded the call. . I went for a walk to think and pray. I asked God to speak to me. I realize if you don’t believe in God, or have ever experienced God “speaking” to you this might seem odd. But my relationship with Him is such that this isn’t an abnormal thing. He often uses visual “symbols” to call to my attention and then impresses certain things in my heart and mind. In the past it’s been butterflies (many occasions) or dragonflies. . Today, God called my attention to the sky where I saw a large bird flying closer and closer. It wasn’t until it was almost directly overhead that I realized it was a Bald Eagle. . I was listening to some worship music, and thinking about the future and some struggles / trials. . When God showed me the Eagle, He spoke in a multitude of ways. The Bald Eagle is a symbol of freedom, courage and power. A message of renewed life. . I researched a little more and read some of the following: “... When an eagle appears, you are on notice to be courageous and stretch your limits. Do not accept the status quo, but rather reach higher and become more than you believe you are capable of. Look at things from a new, higher perspective. Be patient with the present; know that the future holds possibilities that you may not yet be able to see. You are about to take flight.” .
